APALC Citizenship Workshop: Call for Volunteers on 3/16

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Help the Asian Pacific American Legal Center in assisting immigrant communities with their application for citizenship!

The Asian Pacific American Legal Center will be hosting a citizenship workshop in partnership with United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office to host a Pan-Asian workshop on Saturday March 16, 2013.  The event will be held at the Central Library in downtown Los Angeles (630 W. 5th St. Los Angeles, Ca 90071) from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.  APALC is doing this event collaboratively with four of our Los Angeles partners (The Cambodian Association of America, The Filipino American Service Group, Inc., The Korean Resource Center, and the South Asian Network). They are seeking volunteers that speak any Asian language for this event.

There will be a volunteer training that APALC will provide on March 6, 2013 from 6pm - 8pm at our offices located at 1145 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, Ca 90017.  If you've already volunteered with APALC before and feel comfortable with all the station assignments you do not have to attend the training.  Parking at the event is $1.00 if you have a library card (or open one that day); otherwise parking is approximately $4-5.

Please contact Nasim Khansari at nkhansari@apalc.org or 213-241-8849 if you are interested in volunteering.

This qualifies for PSP hours. Please bring your PSP form at the event to get it signed.
