APALSA Arts & Crafts Supply Drive, until March 9

Please support APALSA by donating some used or new art supplies. The supplies will go to New Village Charter School. The bins are located in the hallway in both the Westmoreland and Bullocks-Wilshire buildings. They especially need:

• magazines
• markers
• yarn
• crayons
• construction paper
• fabric
  

Info on the school:
New Village Charter High School was recently authorized as a charter school by the Los Angeles Unified School District and will open in September 2006. The school, located just west of downtown Los Angeles, will serve up to 240 at-risk female students. New Village’s goal is to provide its students with a sense of belonging, inner confidence and every chance to succeed in adult life.
