Slanted Screen Screening

THE SLANTED SCREEN: ASIAN MEN IN FILM & TELEVISION

RECEPTION, SCREENING AND PANEL DISCUSSION

Please join us for an exclusive screening of “The Slanted Screen: Asian Men in Film & Television,” a new documentary film (www.slantedscreen.com) written, directed and produced by Jeff Adachi, a Japanese-American attorney who is the elected Public Defender in San Francisco and a former president of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.

The film, which won “best documentary” at the NY International Independent Film & Video Festival, covers nearly 100 years of cinematic history, and includes interviews with actors James Shigeta, Mako, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Dustin Nguyen and comedian Bobby Lee.

A panel discussion entitled Influencing the Image-Makers will immediately follow the screening.
